The Guayusa is also known as Ilex Guayusa. It is a native plant of the Amazon rainforest of Ecuador. The leaves contain stimulant properties thanks to its caffeine content, theobromine (stimulant present in cocoa) and L-theanine (glutamic acid present in green tea). Guayusa is widely used topically to improve symptoms of fatigue and to combat stress.
Rich in vitamins and minerals
It contains magnesium, calcium, zinc, potassium and vitamins D and C. It also contains chlorogenic acids, very beneficial for cardiovascular health and essential amino acids.
