Which herbs can be used in your vaporizer?

Most people will immediately think of cannabis when they think of herbs for the vaporizer, but weed is not the only herb that works well in a vaporizer. Here you will find an overview of other herbs that you can vape; some for the taste, others for the psychoactive effect. It is also possible to combine these herbs with cannabis to enhance the taste or even change the effect.

Passionflower

140°C

Passionflower is a perennial climbing vine that grows naturally mainly in Mexico, Central and South America. It has dainty purple-blue flowers and is much loved for its calming qualities. All above-ground parts of the plant can be used for these relaxing effects.

When you put passion flower in the vaporizer, it provides a soothing and slightly sedating effect. Vape this herb at low temperatures, alone or mixed with other relaxing herbs, when you want to relax in the evening.

Damiana

190°C

Damiana is a shrub from Mexico, with a strong aromatic taste. The plant has particularly beautiful, yellow petals. The leaves of this shrub contain the active substances for which the herb is known.

Smoking Damiana in a vaporizer produces a slight euphoria and a mild marijuana-like effect. This “high” lasts about 60 minutes. Many cultures use Damiana to increase sex drive. Think, for example, of the Mexican Maya, they firmly believed that this herb could remedy a lack of sexual desire. If you consume it in small amounts, the sex drive is increased for a longer period of time.

Catmint

150°C

Catmint is the herb that makes cats purr with pleasure. Unfortunately, it does not have this effect on humans. This herb does have a soothing and comfortable intoxication effect. Catmint is often used to promote sleep. When you put more catmint in your vaporizer, this buzz also has a slightly euphoric effect. This herb is perfect for when you want to relax. Catnip can also be combined well with damiana and valerian.

Valerian

Valerian is native to Europe and Asia. It is a beautiful plant with pink-white flowers. The active substances of this plant are in the roots. Valerian has been used for a long time for its anesthetic and soothing properties.

Users report that smoking valerian in a vaporizer produces a much stronger effect than taking valerian in pill form. This herb goes very well with catmint and other comforting herbs such as passion flower and blue lotus.

Blue Lotus

Blue Lotus is a famous water lily with whitish, blue flowers. It also contains the psychoactive alkaloid aporphine. This herb can be deeply relaxing for the mind and body. Its calming properties make it great for meditation and yoga practice. It gives a mild sense of calm and euphoria, along with an altered sense of consciousness.

Blue lotus has a mildly stimulating & psychoactive effect that is dreamy, euphoric and very relaxing. Not every vaporizer can handle a temperature of 110°C, so make sure you have the right device if you want to use this herb with your vaporizer.

Wild Lettuce

Wild Lettuce has mild anesthetic effects. It is akin to the regular lettuce you use in salad, but with different interesting properties.

When you put wild lettuce in the vaporizer, it often works great when you’re tense. Many people find that it can help when you are restless and irritable. Also, it would make your dreams more intense. Mixed with weed, the herb often has a lighter relaxing effect.

Dream Herb

Known as “dream herb”, Calea zacatechichi is a plant native to Mexico and Central America. Traditionally, it has been used to induce lucid dreams. When you smoke calea with your vaporizer, the effect is described as a highly narcotic and mildly hallucinogenic experience.

Dream herb is mainly associated with vivid and lucid dreams. The herb can also help you to induce lucid dreams. A lucid dream is basically a dream in which you are aware that you are dreaming. In the waking state, dream herb gives a languid effect and a heightened state of consciousness arises. It also has a bitter taste. That is why this herb is perhaps best used in combination with other, tastier herbs.

Pink Lotus

Wild Dagga

Wild dagga is known by the scientific name Leonotis leonurus. It is a plant native to southern Africa. This herb is sometimes compared to cannabis because of the effects it has when smoked.

Wild Dagga induces a mildly euphoric, soothing sensation. It can also induce a gentle buzz and help increase feelings of relaxation and comfort. It doesn’t hit as potently as cannabis and takes some time to build up in strength with use.
